The Allosaurus, who has now broken through the wall, distracts Grandpa Longneck long enough for the other Sharptooth to kick him to the ground. Cera gets a bigger role in this movie in babysitting the twins and that is nice to see as she is a great female character. Meanwhile, as the Allosaurus breaks through the wall, shows up to protect Littlefoot and knocks the Tyrannosaurus to the ground. The Allosaurus quietly sneaks behind Cera, and though her friends try to warn her, she believes they are playing a joke on her. I dare anyone who listens to it not to start tapping their feet while listening to 'bad luck'.
The young 'uns loved reenacting the fights with their little toys. It also teaches children the importance of resposablity. Don't waste your time on this. Spike remains stuck in the log, but while the Sharptooth tries to devour Spike, Littlefoot and Petrie free him. Strangely, the Allosaurus partner is shown as another, darker Allosaurus, instead of a green. He makes no further appearances afterwards. It is too short though so you don't feel the emotional attachment you get from watching the first film, the dialogue is mostly uninspiring this is from a more adult perspective, but I am sure kids will overlook this and the story is quite simplistic. He yet again fails when he gets his head stuck between two more trees.
As Spike pops out, the Sharptooth bites into the log causing it to break, sending him falling into the canyon below. Although he only physically appears in The Secret of Saurus Rock, he is shown in a flashback in the. All in all, this is a decent sequel, definitely one of the more watchable sequels of the franchise. The animation is ok for a television flick and is of the same standard as the rest of the sequels. The twin baby dinosaurs Dana and Dina are adorable, and the voice acting is solid. Could the mysterious Longneck named Doc be the famous Lone Dinosaur, who can defeat a Sharptooth with his lasso-like tail? However the animation is good, with nice colours and decent editing. Kids will like it and older fans will smile at it.
